Connect the lamp socket's pull chain to a screw hood fastened at the top of the door near the hinges a coil spring or rubber bands and a cord to extend its length.
As you open the door, the chain is enough to turn on the light while the spring coil stretches and allows
the door to swing fully.
The process extinguishes the light when you open the door to leave the room.
